Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and for taking the time to get to know us. We are Victor and Nathalie from beautiful California. We have known each other for 15 years having met while working together on a wine and food event at Nathalie’s workplace in 2004. We are both settled into great jobs that we love. Nathalie is in the wine business and Victor is an Executive Chef.
Nathalie was born in France. She grew up with one sister. Her father is now, very sadly, deceased, but her mother is very much alive. She tries to see her family at least once a year but stays in close touch with her mother regularly. Nathalie moved to the United States (MA) in 1996 when she was twenty to be an au pair. She has always adored being around children.
Victor was born in San Francisco in 1972 and was raised, along with his brother, by his adoptive parents in Santa Cruz County in the town of Aptos. He has two step-siblings who also live in the area. We are very close to his parents and siblings and see them frequently.
Our home includes two dogs named Lola (yes, both of our dogs are Lolas!) but most importantly, centers on Victor’s son Camerone (14) who adds the best punctuation mark to an already happy family life. We share a strong, honest and caring relationship – with each other and with Camerone – and cannot wait to be parents, and a larger family unit, together, through adoption. Camerone already talks about the many ways he will be the best big brother and we share his excitement and joy at the very thought of bringing a baby into our family. The doors of our home are wide open and we so look forward to welcoming another child into our close knit family.
We understand that it is a stressful and
difficult time while you are trying to figure out the best option for you and
your precious baby. We know that placing a child for adoption is an incredible
act of incredible love. We know this because Victor was adopted and has always
been grateful for the love and courage of his birth mother as well as the
strong support and deep love of his adoptive family. We hope that you feel
supported and loved during this time. We are humbled by your courage and admire
you immeasurably for considering the best future for the baby.
We promise to love and cherish your baby with every ounce of our hearts and at the most profound depth of our souls. We will provide a safe, stable, happy home, a life full of opportunities, patience, a willingness to always listen, to help and guide as best we can, and more than anything, love, love and more love.
We hope in the following pages to give you a better idea of who we are, our love for each other, the parents we intend to be, and to hear from our wonderful family and friends who are as excited as we are to welcome a baby into our lives.
Thank you for considering us as parents. It is our hope that something about us touches your heart and makes us more than worthy of your trust and confidence.
