Mario & Estella

Dear Birth Mother,

Thanks for stopping by to read our letter. If it wasn’t for selfless people like you, the miracle we’ve prayed for might not be possible.

Mario and I have been married for 10 years. I couldn’t ask for a better husband and life partner. Mario is a kind, loving person with a big heart and a great sense of humor. He’s very attentive and can light up a room with his jokes. Mario is lead tech support for a RV/Car electronic manufacturer and on his off time he loves to cook and help around the house (I swear I’m not making that up). Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Mario was brought up in a Christian home. His mother is of Puerto Rican decent and his father of Mexican decent.

Estella has a heart of gold. Her beautiful smile and loud laugh can brighten anyone’s day. She’s never above you, never below you but always beside you. Estella is a manager at a very well-known entertainment studio. When she’s not in the office, you can usually find her in the kitchen baking something amazing or out in the yard tending to her plants. She loves home décor and planning parties. Estella was born and raised in the Coachella Valley and visits very often to see her family. She was raised Catholic and both her parents are of Mexican decent.

Family is a big priority to us. Estella has her parents and 6 older siblings- all married and all have children. Gatherings with the family are always large and happy, filled with laughter and love. Aside from his parents, Mario has one sibling, a brother-in-law and a niece. Although small, this side of the family is also tight-knit. We live closest to Mario’s side and we make a big effort to see each other often. Both families are bilingual in English and Spanish. We look forward to teaching both languages to a little one.

On our off time, you’ll usually find us together- either out locally or at home with our dog, Jaxson. Our favorite weekend trips are usually to Disneyland, Palm Springs to visit family, camping in Idyllwild or traveling up to Los Olivos to spend the day. Every other year we travel to Los Cabos for vacation where we have a timeshare. We actually visit Mexico at least a couple times a year. Different parts- to either see family or explore new places. We feel it keeps us connected to our roots.

We own a 3-bedroom house not very far from the beach. It’s not a huge house but it’s well taken care of and cozy. We specifically chose this house because it has a huge yard with giant trees. We always imagined hanging a swing from the avocado tree and having kids to run free in this space. Here is where we spend most of our time hosting BBQs, enjoying the weather and playing with Jaxson. We are told by our family and friends that our home is very cozy, especially during the holiday season where Estella decorates the entire house, both inside and out.
We’ve been together for over 15 years- just him and I. And although our life has been great, we’ve always had a feeling that something’s been missing. When we were told we wouldn’t be able to conceive, we tried convincing ourselves that life would be fine. That kids aren’t needed but the truth is, we both knew we longed for a little miracle. We know this decision isn’t easy for you and we sincerely thank you for even considering us. Please know that in our home, this child will be very loved by not just us but our families. They will be raised in a safe, warm home with lots of love. And we will do everything we can to make sure they have a wonderful fulfilling life. We’ve been very blessed in this life and we are looking forward to sharing our blessings with a special little someone. ♥
