We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community, waiting families, and birth parents very seriously. Like you, we’re closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We have been asked to Shelter In Place in California, and we are abiding by that mandate. Over the last couple days I have been setting up a home office where I will keep your profile books and everything we need to continue our work with expectant and birth parents. I also have a number of options to video chat with potential placing parents instead of face-to-face meetings.
If you are sending us mail or having books delivered, please let me know beforehand. We are having our mail held at our local post office, but will only have access to it once a week.
In addition, we are also actively communicating with our colleagues in the health care industry, to ensure them that we are open and prepared to continue our practice of prompt response to their clients that have expressed an interest in making an adoption plan.
We are all in this together. And, in that light – I ask for your positive thoughts for one our families that is currently traveling to meet an expectant mom due to deliver within the week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support you and the women that trust us to find the right family for their child. Let’s all do everything we can to stay healthy and move through this as quickly as possible.
